Choosing credit for your business | Finance Guide

An entrepreneur always require finance either for starting the business project, or to strengthen and expand its business.

The vast majority of the time, it will be necessary to go to a financial institution for a loan business. But, as in this market there are many possibilities, the most convenient is that you avoid making a hasty decision and meditate your choice of financing. The comparison should be your method.

small business loans

When evaluating and comparing different banks or financial institutions can grant you credit required, it is essential that you review a wide range of factors to choose the most appropriate financial offer to your business. Here we present:

Analyzes the use

Is important to define what is to be used (working capital, remodeling, real estate acquisition, growth) because it depends on the type of loan you should look.

Check if you are eligible for credit

Some banks evaluated only cash flows and other companies assess their ability to pay, based on their financial statements. If your financial structure is not very well, the options are reduced.

Identifies the bench area to which you?ll return

Within banks there are different types of banks that provide services to businesses according to their sales.

The total cost

Of the credit characteristics analyzes. The total cost of financing, known as cost effective, is the most important criteria that you should observe when comparing the different alternatives.

This element refers to the true rate you will pay on the loan, and is composed of the interest rate, plus additional costs are usually included in the loan, such as fees or maintenance grant.

The term

Is the period of time gives you the financial institution to repay the loan and pay interest? To choose according to your ability to pay, you will understand the following: a shorter term, generally lower interest rate but higher fees to pay, while if the time is greater, the interest rate will also be, but pay lower fees.

The exchange rate

Fixed rates remain constant during the life of the loan period, variable rates are adjusted according to certain parameters, and combined rates being fixed rates usually start before becoming variable rates.

Fixed rates possible to know in advance what fees and therefore give control and the security of knowing how much they are going to pay. While rates have uncertain variables which may increase at any time, but usually is less than the fixed rate.

Amortization System

This points the way to be amortized capital and, therefore, pay the loan. The method used is French, where the fees are fixed and in all periods is paid the same fee.

Early cancellation

Also consider if the credit gives you the possibility to make additional payments in order to reduce debt, or to cancel ahead of the deadline given.

Financial institution

Assesses its customer service available to provide all the information you require, their ability to address any concerns you have, it?s rapidly to evaluate the application and to grant you the loan, among other things.

Credit history

Is recommended to buy the products of financial institutions which are already customers, in order to form a good credit history and thus gain access to credit later with better facilities and benefits.

Galaxy S3, S4 and Note 2 ZeroLemon battery reviews visualised

Galaxy S3, S4 and Note 2 ZeroLemon battery reviews visualised

Smartphone battery life can often be a touchy subject among owners of certain handsets, and sometimes no matter how good it is there will be times that we need more. There are solutions to this problem though in the form of replacement batteries or special cases, and today we are looking at some ZeroLemon battery reviews for the Samsung Galaxy S3, S4, and Note 2.

The first video we have for you is the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the 7,000 mAh ZeroLemon battery pack, which compares to the 2,100 mAh battery that comes with the handset. The replacement battery is huge and takes a while to get it fitted correctly but when it?s in place with the special rear cover put over the top of it you can see how much larger the handset is now.

It has a matte feel to it and the volume controls and power button now need a harder press for them to work, but the rear cover does add some protection to the smartphone. The next video is for the Galaxy Note 2 which is a handset that is always praised for its battery life but the ZeroLemon now adds a 9,300 mAh unit compared to the 3,100 mAh battery that comes with the smartphone.

The battery pack comes with a similar rear case that includes all the cut outs for the handsets features including the stylus and this one seems to fit in easier than the Galaxy S3 version. Once fitted it at least doubles the thickness of the smartphone with a weighty feel that the reviewer liked, but previously we have seen one user fit a 9,000 mAh battery to their Note 2.

Again the buttons need a firmer press to get them to work and when fitted a unit such as this may not be ideal for everyday use, but if you know it?s going to be a long time before you can reach a charger it will be ideal.

The last video we have for you is the Galaxy S4 version of the ZeroLemon battery pack and is 7,500 mAh in size, which replaces the 2,600 mAh standard battery. Check out the three videos and tell us if you ever need a boost in battery such as this.

Duke Energy witnesses defend propriety most customer charges

photo JEN WILSON

Duke Energy Carolinas agreed to take about $112,000 out of its proposed rate increase that was its share of the costs paid for an engineering study of a cripple nuclear plant in Duke's Florida franchise.

Duke Energy witnesses testifying in the company's rate hearing before the N.C. Utilities Commission today defended the company against accusations by the witness for watchdog group NC WARN that it was seeking to charge customers for more than $20 million worth of costs that should be paid by shareholders.

But the witnesses also made concessions, agreeing to remove about $112,000 from the utility's cost-recovery request. With charges the company had earlier agreed to forego, Duke Energy Carolinas has agreed to take out nearly $1 million from the $234 million in revenue that would be raised by its proposed 5.1% rate hike.

Duke initially asked for a 9.7% rate hike that would have raised $446 million in new revenue. But it negotiated a compromise with the Public Staff of the N.C. Utilities Commission, charged with protecting customer interests, to reduced the increase.

Carol Shrum, Duke's director of rates and regulatory strategy, and Danny Wiles were the utility's key witnesses Thursday in the hearing before the N.C. Utilities Commission.

Executive pay

They disputed testimony from California economist William Marcus, who said Duke Carolinas included charges totaling more than $30 million that Carolinas customers should not have to pay.

North Carolina's roughly 70% share of Duke Carolinas' costs would translate into more than $21 million worth of charges to N.C. customers.

Most of the overcharges alleged by Marcus involved about $25 million paid to executives of parent Duke Energy Corp. That would be more than $21 million in costs the company proposed charged to N.C. customers.

Shrum testified that a share of charges for executive compensation has been in Duke's rates for years and was neither new nor improper. Wiles testified the company had already agreed to take out about $870,000 in charges that Marcus had identified as improper in the weeks leading up to the hearing. That included $326,000 in charges Duke agreed to withdraw as the hearings opened Monday.

U.S. IRS documents show liberal groups vetted like Tea Party: Democrats

By Kim Dixon

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A top Democrat probing the Internal Revenue Service scrutiny of conservative "Tea Party" groups released documents on Friday suggesting that "Occupy" and other liberal-leaning groups received similar scrutiny.

Representative Elijah Cummings, the top Democrat on the House of Representatives' Oversight and Government Reform Committee, released documents from 2010 and 2012 used by IRS staff reviewing tax-exempt applications that suggest the key words "Progressive" and "Occupy" were subjected to added review, in addition to Tea Party applications.

"Occupy Wall Street" and similar left-leaning groups have sprouted up in recent years to protest corporate power.

Cummings blasted the chief of the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA), who issued a report two months ago that said the agency targeted conservative terms like "Tea Party" and "Patriot" when examining applications from non-profit political groups seeking federal tax exemption.

Cummings, of Maryland, called for TIGTA's chief, J. Russell George to be summoned before the committee.

Republicans say the targeting of conservative groups shows political bias in the IRS under the Democratic Obama administration, and Representative Darrell Issa, the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee chairman, has focused his panel's attention on it.

The scandal led President Barack Obama to oust the IRS chief from his job.

"This investigation ... has been characterized by one-sided and partial information leading to unsubstantiated accusations with no basis in fact," Cummings said in his letter to Issa, of California.

Documents released by Cummings include a May 3, 2013 email between George and his deputy for investigations, with the deputy concluding after a search of 5,500 IRS emails there was no indication of political motivation in the Tea Party searches.

'WE STAND BY OUR FINDINGS'

A TIGTA spokesperson said: "We stand by our findings and testimony."

Ali Ahmad, a spokesman for Issa, said the documents do not prove the liberal groups got the same level of scrutiny as Tea Party-type groups.

He also said George reported that 100 percent of the Tea Party-like groups were held up for more than two years, while a fraction of the liberal groups experienced such delays.

"Nobody should ever assert that the IRS should not be looking at groups for potential political activity," Ahmad said. "The fact that they would be training people about how to look for political activity on both sides doesn't have anything to do with the special process set up for the Tea Party."

The IRS documents released by Cummings add another wrinkle to the Tea Party targeting inquiry that has triggered the worst crisis in years at the tax collecting agency.

An IRS official acknowledged two months ago that conservative groups seeking tax exempt status were inappropriately targeted, after agency officials had denied to lawmakers that the groups had received such treatment.

In addition to the IRS chief, other IRS officials were also removed from their jobs. The use of the targeting, or "BOLO" lists, was suspended and the FBI, as well as congressional committees, are conducting investigations.

The potential use of liberal terms to select applications for added scrutiny came up last month when another Democratic lawmaker, Representative Sandy Levin of Michigan, released several BOLO lists with terms like "Progressive."

TIGTA said in a letter to Levin that although liberal terms were on BOLO lists, there was no indication that they received the same review and delay as Tea Party and other conservative groups.

The inspector general noted that in many BOLO lists, the word "historical" was used next to progressive, suggesting it was not an active issue.

Cummings released internal documents, including emails and Power Point presentations that showed words like "Occupy" were actively being used in February 2012.

One document suggests "Progressive" was used during a July 2010 training, along with "Tea Party," as key words that indicated potential political activity.

Groups seeking tax exemption under federal law may engage in limited amounts of political activity, depending on the type of exemption sought. This and the vagueness of the rules often make it difficult for IRS agents to tell which groups overstep and become ineligible for tax exemption.
