Movie stars 'sing' Sir Mix-A-Lot's 'Baby Got Back'

By Kurt Schlosser, NBC News

It takes a mix master to know a mix master. Movie remix king dondrapersayswhat has spliced together 295 movie clips to recreate Sir Mix-A-Lot's iconic 1992 single "Baby Got Back."

"I like big butts and I cannot lie" was the key refrain from the hip-hop song that hit No. 1 and was even banned for a time?by MTV. To see and hear Mix-A-Lot's words coming from the likes of Humphrey Bogart, ?Al Pacino, Sylvester Stallone, Chucky the doll, Clint Eastwood, Darth Vader and many more is kind of mind boggling.

Clips from classic films such as "Cool Hand Luke" and "On the Waterfront" are mixed with dialogue taken from some not-so-classics, including "2 Fast, 2 Furious," "Dodgeball" and "Alvin and the Chipmunks."

At the 1 minute mark, the song title is perfectly spliced together when the word "baby" is cut from "Dirty Dancing" in front of "got back" from "Thor." And it happens again at the end when Ice Cube's "baby got" from "Are We Done Yet?" gives way to Arnold Schwarzenegger's classic "back" from "Terminator."

Dondrapersayswhat has dropped other seemingly impossible supercuts onto an Internet full of everything. He did Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" with movie clips and he rounded up the many times "I love the smell of Napalm in the morning" has appeared in films other than "Apocalypse Now." The YouTuber's namesake comes from the simple and perfect idea to piece together clips of "Mad Men's" leading man saying "what."
